Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Conduct tests and analyses of embedded software systems in launch vehicles, spacecraft, CubeSats, and other space-system components.
- Develop and maintain simulations for software validation, on-orbit anomaly resolution, and day-of-launch mission assurance.
- Develop models of sensors, actuators, vehicle dynamics, and other space-system components for software-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop, and emulator-based simulators.
- Create tools and techniques to improve analysis and simulation capabilities.
- Collaborate with internal and external organizations and deliver quality products and technical reviews to customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field, either currently being pursued or conferred within the last 12 months.
- Prior internship at The Aerospace Corporation and 0–1 year of industry work experience.
- Relevant project experience in dynamics, control systems, control algorithm design, modeling and simulation, or flight software development.
- Programming experience in Python, Java, and C/C++, plus experience with version-control systems and Linux/Unix environments.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 and willingness to travel domestically approximately 10% to customer sites, launch facilities, or test locations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.
- Preferred qualifications include hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop testing, real-time embedded software, launch vehicles and satellite payloads, the Atlassian tool suite, and an active Secret clearance or higher.
