Responsibilities
- Own the transaction-monitoring portion of the Crystal platform.
- Design, implement, debug, test, and continuously deliver backend features and improvements.
- Improve the stability and observability of owned services.
- Maintain high code-quality standards and refactor code as needed.
- Optimize performance, including database queries.
- Conduct code reviews and provide assistance and constructive feedback to team members.
Requirements
- 8+ years of commercial experience developing Python backend services and web APIs.
- Strong software architecture skills.
- Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and data architecture, including PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of testing principles at different levels of the system.
- Experience developing client-facing solutions and distributed systems.
- Product-oriented mindset and proficiency in English.
- Experience with scalability and performance optimization of large distributed systems is a plus.
- Experience with systems operating on large data volumes is a plus.
- Experience with Flask is a plus.
- Passion for cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies is a plus; prior blockchain knowledge is not required.
