Responsibilities

  • Join a frontend or backend engineering team based on project availability and preference.
  • Build new software features and frameworks for Tanium’s product platform.
  • Create and complete a unique software deliverable that is delivered to Tanium customers.
  • Meet regularly with an assigned senior engineer mentor.
  • Present completed work to Tanium’s engineering team and leadership.
  • Participate in intern events and network with the broader internship cohort.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in computer science or a related field.
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA.
  • Graduating in Spring 2027 or Fall 2026.
  • Experience creating and completing software development projects using backend and/or frontend languages.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. now and in the future.
  • Available to work full-time from June 8, 2026 to August 14, 2026.
  • Strong interest in learning technical skills and working collaboratively or independently.
  • A previous internship is helpful but not required.

  • Hybrid schedule requiring at least three days per week in the office in Durham, NC or Emeryville, CA.
  • Hourly internship rate of $55 in Durham or $60 in Emeryville.
