Responsibilities
- Design and develop Java- and Python-based infrastructure services, APIs, integrations, and automation.
- Engineer and support end-to-end virtual-machine provisioning, including templates, golden images, validation, security scanning, release, and lifecycle maintenance.
- Automate infrastructure operations using Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform playbooks, roles, inventories, and workflows.
- Integrate provisioning solutions with VMware, network services, DNS, databases, security tooling, and enterprise platforms.
- Develop and maintain Kubernetes-based workloads, deployment artifacts, configuration, and operational controls.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across application, operating-system, virtualization, database, and network layers.
- Apply secure engineering, vulnerability remediation, compliance, observability, resilience, and change-management practices.
- Provide technical leadership through design reviews, code reviews, documentation, mentoring, and process improvement.
Requirements
- 10–12 years of relevant experience in software engineering, infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, or a related technology domain.
- Strong experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting production-grade services and automation solutions.
- Strong hands-on Java development skills, including APIs, object-oriented design, debugging, and maintainable coding practices.
- Strong Python skills for automation, API integrations, orchestration, tooling, and microservice development.
- Demonstrated knowledge of enterprise compute, storage, operating systems, virtualization, provisioning, monitoring, security, and change-management practices.
- Hands-on VMware vSphere experience with virtual machines, provisioning workflows, VM templates, golden images, image lifecycle management, and security or vulnerability scans.
- Strong understanding of VLANs, subnets, DNS, TCP/IP, routing fundamentals, firewalls, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible, Ansible Automation Platform, playbooks, inventories, roles, workflows, and infrastructure automation.
- Working knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL, including schemas, queries, integrations, and operational troubleshooting.
- Hands-on Kubernetes or OpenShift experience with containerized workloads, deployments, services, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions or Jenkins, secure delivery practices, and automated testing.
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, written communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
