Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs powering the Frontline platform.
- Participate in architecture and system design to ensure reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with frontend and cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features and integrations.
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code using modern engineering and CI/CD practices.
- Participate in peer reviews, pair programming, and technical discussions.
- Own a technical domain and deliver results with accountability.
- Evaluate emerging technologies that can enhance the platform.
Requirements
- University or college degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or proven senior-level expertise in designing and delivering complex software systems.
- 8+ years of professional backend software development experience.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed system design.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and ORM frameworks such as Hibernate.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and container orchestration such as Kubernetes.
- Understanding of JWT, OAuth2, and OpenAPI security and authentication standards.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Experience with NATS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ is nice to have.
- Experience with public API design and developer-facing integrations is nice to have.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK monitoring and observability tooling is nice to have.
