Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack

Responsibilities
- Own and deliver complex full-stack features across 2D/3D frontend interfaces and distributed Elixir backend services.
- Drive architectural direction, patterns, conventions, and frontend/backend layer boundaries.
- Identify and address technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and reliability risks.
- Conduct rigorous code reviews, champion testing practices, and provide reference-quality implementations.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through pairing, design discussions, and constructive code review.
- Collaborate with product, design, QA, space operators, and astrodynamics algorithm engineers.
- Ship iterative, well-scoped increments and document technical decisions and patterns.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software development experience with meaningful depth across frontend and backend development.
- Expert command of HTML/CSS and modern TypeScript/JavaScript, including browser performance and internals.
- Deep expertise in React, including advanced component patterns, state management, and performance optimization.
- Strong proficiency in Elixir and OTP, including BEAM internals, process architecture, supervision, and fault-tolerant design.
- Hands-on full-stack testing experience with Vitest, React Testing Library, frontend end-to-end testing, ExUnit, property-based testing, and distributed-system integration testing.
- Experience designing component libraries, design systems, service architectures, API boundaries, and gRPC, RESTful, and WebSocket services.
- Strong PostgreSQL experience covering schema design, query optimization, and data modeling tradeoffs.
- Experience with Git-based workflows, commit hygiene, pull request quality, and collaborative code review.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance are required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar discipline is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes technical leadership, complex data-dense applications, Three.js or React Three Fiber, advanced OTP, production observability and distributed tracing, and collaboration using Figma.
