Responsibilities
- Design and engineer large-scale systems that support high volumes of financial transactions.
- Build, maintain, and improve APIs, services, and systems across Mollie’s engineering teams.
- Lead technical initiatives and architectural decisions from design through implementation.
- Resolve complex technical problems using analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Create documentation, share domain knowledge, and establish optimized engineering processes.
- Own code quality, engineering excellence, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience developing large-scale applications.
- Professional experience with Java or PHP, with willingness to work with Java; experience with Go, C#, or Python is also valued.
- Proven experience leading architectural decisions and technical initiatives and delivering end-to-end solutions.
- Experience optimizing technical or business processes.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex problems and solutions clearly.
- Ability to proactively identify improvements, take accountability, and apply a product-first approach.
