Base Salary
$77k - $119k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable, secure, highly available platform solutions across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Build and maintain NetFlow, sFlow, and IPFIX telemetry ingestion pipelines.
- Support and enhance DDoS detection and mitigation platforms, including Nokia Deepfield and similar systems.
- Analyze network traffic patterns and provide optimization and security insights.
- Define and implement Infrastructure as Code and automation strategies.
- Enable platform observability, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and security teams on platform and network initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership, contribute to architectural standards, and maintain documentation and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least five years of experience in platform engineering, network engineering, or architecture roles.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, including BGP, OSPF, ISIS, DNS, and SNMP.
- Professional experience in a service provider network and with NetFlow, sFlow, IPFIX, and traffic telemetry systems.
- Experience with DDoS detection and mitigation strategies and platforms such as Nokia Deepfield or Netscout Arbor.
- Experience with Linux/Unix systems, Python or Go scripting, RESTful APIs, and automation.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; Kubernetes and containerization; and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
- Understanding of distributed systems and microservices, plus experience with Kafka, Hadoop, or Spark.
