Base Salary
$141k - $169k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement features and performance improvements for highly scalable distributed data pipelines on the cloud.
- Develop, maintain, and test software code.
- Conduct design and code reviews.
- Collaborate with peers, product managers, customer support, and other stakeholders to deliver a high-quality, performant, and scalable product.
- Participate periodically in an on-call rotation.
- Improve the reliability and security of customers’ data infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
- At least 3 years of software industry experience solving complex software engineering problems.
- Experience designing and developing reusable libraries and experimentation platforms for backend and frontend systems.
- Ability to write well-structured, performant code and lead software and infrastructure design.
- Experience with code reviews, design, troubleshooting, and testing.
- Experience programming in an object-oriented or systems language such as Java, C++, or C#.
- Experience interacting with continuous integration tools such as Buildkite.
- Knowledge of observability tools such as New Relic or Grafana is a plus.
- Knowledge of data engineering is a plus.
- Ability to use AI coding assistants, coding agents, conversational AI systems, and internal chatbots to support software development and SDLC artifacts.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes is a bonus.
- Experience in data processing, including ETL or ELT, and cloud-based platforms is a bonus.
