Responsibilities
- Own pricing problems end to end, from ambiguous business goals through production implementation and measurable outcome validation.
- Design, write, test, deploy, and monitor scalable distributed pricing systems.
- Partner with Product to translate business goals into technical strategy and challenge unclear requirements.
- Create specifications with measurable acceptance criteria, identify edge cases, and define post-launch validation plans.
- Build automated quality checks and perform root-cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.
- Use AI tooling to accelerate C++ development, root-cause analysis, and test coverage where it provides value.
- Set technical direction for performance, reliability, and correctness across the pricing stack.
- Collaborate with engineering peers and raise technical and architectural standards.
Requirements
- Professional experience with C++ as the primary language in latency- and correctness-critical systems.
- Experience building scalable distributed systems independently.
- Strong systems thinking and the ability to reason about reliability, performance, correctness, subsystem contracts, and cross-service debugging.
- Golang experience is a strong plus.
- Ability to translate business goals into technical solutions, define measurable acceptance criteria, and focus on outcomes.
- Proactive collaboration with Product and engineering peers in a high-stakes, precision-oriented domain.
