Base Salary
$140k - $231k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and evolution of the next-generation edge platform and backend services.
- Drive architecture decisions and establish engineering standards, patterns, and best practices.
- Define technical strategy and roadmaps with Product, Architecture, Security, and Operations teams.
- Lead complex technical initiatives from conception through production deployment.
- Mentor and coach engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and technical guidance.
- Resolve bottlenecks, reliability risks, and scalability challenges in distributed systems.
- Champion test-driven development, automation, CI/CD, and observability practices.
- Define and enforce unit, functional, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies.
- Participate in production support, incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Apply secure coding, threat modeling, vulnerability remediation, and security-by-design practices.
- Influence cross-team technical alignment and adoption of platform capabilities.
- Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and talent development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Strong Golang experience and cloud-native application development experience.
- Experience designing and operating highly available, scalable, and resilient platforms.
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures, APIs, messaging systems, and networked applications.
- Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and DevSecOps practices.
- Proficiency with GitHub, Jenkins, and modern software delivery tooling.
- Strong communication skills and understanding of algorithms, data structures, concurrency patterns, and distributed computing principles.
