Responsibilities
- Review business, software, and system requirements and derive test estimates.
- Design verification strategies, test plans, test cases, and test-execution plans for embedded and platform software.
- Develop, automate, and execute manual and automated tests using scripting and industry-standard tools.
- Troubleshoot test scripts and environments, triage and log defects, and verify defect resolution.
- Define test metrics, report quality status and blockers, and track execution progress.
- Lead testing activities across multiple projects and serve as a subject-matter expert for relevant components, systems, and business processes.
- Review test plans, improve testing processes, and collaborate with architects, engineers, developers, and project or program managers.
- Assist with resource planning and identify project constraints and bandwidth limitations.
Requirements
- 8+ years of embedded software test experience, preferably in mobile or automotive industries.
- 4+ years of platform and embedded testing experience.
- Excellent programming skills in Python or C++.
- Experience validating platform and system designs and developing test automation tools and scripts.
- Strong knowledge of software quality assurance methodologies and tools, with the ability to perform manual testing when needed.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitHub, and Artifactory.
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, problem-solving, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, lead testing activities, work independently, and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Scrum and Agile software development processes.
- Preferred: 10+ years of embedded software test experience in embedded IoT or automotive industries.
- Preferred: automotive product development or testing experience, Robot Framework, and vehicle communication protocols including CAN, LIN, and SomeIP.

- Hybrid work arrangement requiring reporting to Warren, Michigan at least three times per week or as otherwise directed by the manager.
