Responsibilities
- Own and mature Sentry's security review program, including secure code and architecture reviews.
- Influence vulnerability management practices, including triage and remediation tracking.
- Champion secure-by-design principles by partnering with engineering and product teams.
- Validate and reproduce security findings through scanning and manual testing.
- Evaluate and respond to emerging threats relevant to application security.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in securing complex applications and large-scale distributed systems.
- Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Direct experience with security reviews, SDLC practices, and vulnerability management.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Typescript, Go, or Rust.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies like AWS, GCP, Azure, and securing those environments.
