Senior Cyber Cloud Security Engineer

Responsibilities
- Ensure cloud and on-premises technologies are integrated, tested, operated, and configured for NYC Cyber Command’s defensive objectives.
- Operate strategic defensive technologies, including cloud-based security controls, responder environments, network defenses, email filtering, and endpoint protection.
- Analyze identity and access management posture and provide actionable findings and remediation guidance.
- Guide security design, processes, and solution implementation across NYC agencies.
- Coordinate technical projects, communicate status to stakeholders, and document deployment plans for management and agency leadership.
- Handle special projects and initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the position’s projects and policies, or equivalent education and experience.
- Experience with cloud security, cybersecurity policies and standards, identity and access management, security controls, risk management, or related defensive technologies is required by the role’s duties.
- Ability to communicate with technical stakeholders, agency resources, management, and executive leadership.
