Responsibilities
- Design, build, unit-test, remediate, and enhance SmartCOMM templates, content blocks, and business rules.
- Build and validate XML and JSON data mappings from policy administration, billing, and claims systems.
- Configure and test print, PDF, email, and portal document outputs for consistent rendering and regulatory compliance.
- Partner with QA and business analysts on test cases, SIT/UAT cycles, defect resolution, and production troubleshooting.
- Document technical designs, mapping specifications, and unit-test evidence.
- Collaborate with Guidewire composition and orchestration teams on document triggers and policy workflow integrations.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, provide estimates, and support migration, deployment validation, and post-release monitoring.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on SmartCOMM Designer experience, including experience with its former Thunderhead product name, or equivalent CCM-platform experience with the ability to ramp quickly on SmartCOMM.
- Strong understanding of document composition, including templates, content libraries, business rules, data mapping, and multi-channel output.
- Experience in insurance, banking, or another regulated industry producing customer-facing correspondence is preferred.
- Strong analytical, debugging, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to trace data issues from source systems through rendered output and work directly with business stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
