Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end feature development from ideation and architecture through deployment, monitoring, and production impact.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js.
- Build responsive, accessible, and performant frontend interfaces using ReactJS or another modern framework.
- Architect and deploy cost-efficient, scalable solutions on AWS using services including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, SQS, and CloudWatch.
- Lead low-level design discussions, create design documentation, participate in architecture reviews, and ensure maintainable solutions.
- Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and address performance and reliability risks.
- Write clean, testable, and documented code; conduct code reviews and mentor team members.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, Design, and other cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and prototype solutions.
- Evaluate technologies and advocate for technical improvements that add business value.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of professional experience with Node.js, including Express, Fastify, or NestJS.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful API design, asynchronous programming, and event-driven architecture.
- Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and message queues such as SQS, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
- Strong proficiency with ReactJS or another modern frontend framework such as Vue or Angular.
- Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, React Hooks, Context API, Redux, or equivalent state-management tools.
- Experience with component libraries, design systems, or micro-frontend architectures.
- Familiarity with Webpack, Vite, Jest, and React Testing Library.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, SQS, CloudFront, VPC, and IAM.
- Experience with Docker and ECS or EKS/Kubernetes.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, or Jenkins.
- Strong low-level design, data structures, algorithms, and system design skills.
- Hands-on familiarity with GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, effective prompt construction, and LLM API or AI-feature integration.
- Preferred qualifications include SaaS development at scale, Datadog, New Relic, Grafana, ELK, GraphQL, gRPC, WebSockets, open-source contributions, or mentoring and small-team leadership experience.
