Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure software solutions that meet functional and user requirements.
- Write secure, high-quality code and address code quality issues using one or more modern programming languages.
- Identify hidden problems and data patterns to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Use and validate enterprise-authorized AI capabilities for security analysis and vulnerability assessment documentation while protecting sensitive data.
- Apply automation and reuse-first practices across SDLC and toolchain routines to strengthen security testing, control validation, traceability, and auditability.
- Respond to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes to restore platform stability.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve platform performance, reliability, and resiliency.
- Ensure compliance with security controls, internal controls, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience in application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities in security engineering workflows, with strong validation practices and awareness of data sensitivity.
- Ability to review and validate AI-assisted code and security recommendations, escalate uncertainty, and follow security and data-handling requirements.
- Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages, such as Python or Java with Spring Boot, and experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a corporate environment.
- Understanding of application resiliency, security, CI/CD, and relevant technical processes.
- Knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization, technology trends, and industry best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Preferred experience with observability tools such as Splunk or Grafana, data streaming frameworks, AWS services, infrastructure as code, and Kubernetes.
