Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and extend test frameworks and infrastructure.
- Create automated tests and implement performance test plans.
- Build custom testing applications using Java or Python.
- Develop automation that minimizes fragility through architectural patterns.
- Execute test automation for mobile use cases and offline functionality.
- Assess code changes through reviews and ensure best practices.
- Explain features clearly and possess knowledge of Appian subsystems.
- Break down features into story tickets and identify edge cases.
- Distinguish between test error and application error.
- Contribute to technical documents and challenge decisions.
- Demonstrate understanding of priorities and surface blockers quickly.
Requirements
- Proficient in Java or Python and familiar with testing tools like WebDriver and Selenium.
- Experience with IDE, build processes, Git, Jira, and CI.
- Ability to assess code changes and follow best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot defects.
- Excellent communication skills to explain features and their impact.
- Experience in developing automation for mobile and offline functionality.
