Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and extend test frameworks and infrastructure, including system-level regression and smoke tests.
- Develop automated tests, determine appropriate test coverage, and implement performance test plans.
- Build testing applications using Java or Python and testing tools including WebDriver, Locust, BrowserStack, Appium, Selenium Grid, and Postman.
- Create resilient automation using architectural patterns that isolate coupling to the system under test.
- Develop and execute test automation for mobile use cases and offline functionality.
- Review code changes, enforce best practices, break features into story tickets, and contribute to technical artifacts.
- Identify blockers, prioritize work, and complete assignments with minimal prompting.
Requirements
- Proficiency with Java or Python for building custom testing applications.
- Experience with testing tools such as WebDriver, Locust, BrowserStack, Appium, Selenium Grid, and Postman.
- Proficiency with an IDE, build processes, Git, Jira, and CI.
- Ability to analyze code changes, identify edge cases and technical risks, and troubleshoot defects to a single module or function.
- Ability to distinguish test errors from application errors and explain feature intent, impact, value, and operation.
- Working knowledge of at least one Appian subsystem is preferred.
