Responsibilities
- Deliver new features for Validus applications, including order management and risk management systems, with meaningful test coverage.
- Collaborate with quants, back-end engineers, platform engineers, and other teams on cross-stack features.
- Conduct code reviews, pair with colleagues, and contribute to technical decisions about state management and API calls.
- Improve UI, UX, design consistency, accessibility of use, and front-end performance across the product range.
- Help establish real-time communication between back-end and front-end systems using WebSockets.
- Build and improve the Nx front-end monorepo built with Vite.
- Use Zustand, React Query, React Router, HighCharts, and HandsOnTable for state management, routing, data visualization, and large-data interfaces.
- Use front-end monitoring and session replay to investigate real-user behavior and reported issues.
- Use and improve AI-assisted development workflows, including repository instructions, reusable skills, shared knowledge bases, agentic workflows, MCP integrations, and Figma-connected development processes.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of TypeScript and React.
- Experience with state management libraries such as Zustand.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
- Experience writing automated tests with frameworks such as Vitest and Playwright.
- Experience consuming and shaping REST API contracts, including OpenAPI specifications.
- Ability to implement polished styles using CSS.
- Practical experience with AI-assisted development and interest in agentic workflows and MCP tool use.
- Curiosity about financial markets and willingness to learn the domain.
- Ability to take ownership independently and communicate effectively in a cross-disciplinary environment.
- Experience with financial risk management software or platforms is preferred.
