Responsibilities

Deliver frontend features for Validus applications, including order management and risk management systems, with meaningful test coverage.
Collaborate with backend, platform, quant, and other teams on features spanning multiple parts of the stack.
Conduct code reviews, pair with teammates, and improve UI, UX, usability, and design consistency.
Help establish real-time frontend-backend communication using WebSockets.
Build and improve the Nx frontend monorepo with Vite.
Use Zustand, React Query, and React Router for state, data management, and routing.
Develop real-time market-data components and charts using HighCharts.
Use HandsOnTable to display large datasets and improve browser performance.
Use frontend monitoring and session replay to investigate how features behave for users and resolve reported issues.
Use and improve AI-assisted development workflows, including repository instructions, reusable skills, shared knowledge bases, Figma integrations, and MCP-connected tools.

Strong TypeScript knowledge.
Strong React knowledge.
Experience with state management libraries such as Zustand.
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
Experience writing automated tests with frameworks such as Vitest and Playwright.
Experience consuming and helping shape REST API contracts, including OpenAPI specifications.
Ability to implement polished styles using CSS.
Real experience with AI-assisted development and a clear perspective on its benefits and limitations.
Some exposure to, or clear interest in, agentic workflows and tool use over MCP.
Curiosity about financial markets and willingness to learn the domain.
Ability to take ownership of work independently.
Good communication skills in a cross-disciplinary environment.
Preferred: experience with financial risk management software or platforms.
