Base Salary
$162k - $252k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop firmware and embedded system architecture for ARM-based microcontrollers.
- Coordinate sensors, security and privacy functions, power subsystems, and other embedded capabilities.
- Collaborate with electrical engineering, RF, security, cloud services, and AI teams to build secure and reliable systems.
- Bring up and debug new hardware in the lab and support builds at remote production sites.
- Establish and manage metrics for code size, model performance, memory footprint, power consumption, and latency.
- Coordinate development efforts with vendors, consultants, and manufacturing partners.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience developing firmware for embedded microcontrollers.
- Deep embedded firmware experience with knowledge of Bluetooth, Bluetooth Low Energy, Wi-Fi, sensor and audio pipelines, and ARM MCU architecture.
- Experience with low-power systems, audio subsystem integration, and cloud-connected embedded devices.
- Proficiency in FreeRTOS or Zephyr, Embedded C, C++, protocols, and unit test frameworks.
- Ability to work in large multi-developer codebases and collaborate in a healthy team environment.
- Preferred experience with Qualcomm, STM32, Cypress/Infineon PSoC, or Nordic platforms.
- Preferred experience shipping high-reliability production code and using low-level hardware debugging tools and techniques.
