Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and run scalable, reliable, and secure data warehousing architectures.
- Build data integration, transformation, and processing pipelines for analytics, reporting, and machine learning use cases.
- Model and integrate data for machine learning, analytics, and reporting.
- Design, deploy, and monitor infrastructure for distributed batch analytics jobs and real-time streaming analytics.
- Perform ad hoc data analyses and support data scientists and analysts with data requirements.
- Support machine learning, data analytics, and reporting solutions using the company’s data platform.
- Present technical architectures, ideas, and solutions to fellow engineers.
- Contribute to the evolution of the technology stack.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of hands-on programming experience in the Java ecosystem.
- Demonstrated expertise with databases, data modeling, and ETL processes.
- Experience with data warehousing and/or big data query engines such as Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, Amazon Athena, or Presto.
- Experience with production database administration.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL.
- Experience working with streaming data, such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Apache NiFi, Flink, Airflow, or Dagster experience is a bonus.
- Ability to work autonomously, rigorously, creatively, and collaboratively.
