Base Salary
$147k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect novel access controls in collaboration with security teams.
- Scale the dynamic policy engine to support global growth and respond to emerging threats.
- Manage engineering analysis tooling that visualizes the effects of access-policy changes before production deployment.
- Partner with SREs to improve platform reliability and health at Alphabet scale.
- Collaborate with teams interacting with end users to help resolve access challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of programming experience in Java.
- At least 2 years of coding and system design experience with one or more programming languages such as Java, C/C++, or Python.
- At least 2 years of experience with code optimization.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: experience with Java, Python, Go, C++, SQL, NoSQL, or NewSQL.
- Preferred: understanding of security and privacy issues, particularly in the technology sector.
