Responsibilities
- Build and evolve internal AI tooling, developer tooling, guardrails, and golden paths.
- Contribute to cloud infrastructure architecture decisions balancing velocity, cost, reliability, and operational simplicity.
- Implement security guardrails and defaults across IAM, network policy, secrets management, and software supply chain.
- Operate and improve core compute and orchestration systems at scale.
- Advance observability and incident tooling and participate in an on-call rotation.
- Automate infrastructure management with Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipelines, and internal tooling.
- Contribute to architecture discussions and platform standards while mentoring engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Deep experience building and operating AWS at scale, including container orchestration, cloud networking, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Production experience delivering meaningful platform or infrastructure work, ideally in a high-growth environment.
- Experience building developer platforms, golden paths, paved roads, or internal tooling.
- Hands-on experience hardening cloud environments and treating security as part of platform engineering.
- Understanding of observability, testability, and debugging at scale.
- Strong cross-functional communication, design discussion, writing, and code review skills.
- Comfort with ambiguity, pragmatic decision-making, and incident response.
- Backend product development experience is a plus.
- Terraform experience at scale is a plus, as is production experience building AI agents or AI-assisted tooling.
- A degree in software engineering or equivalent is nice to have but not essential.
