Base Salary
$188k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, technical vision, and strategy for scalable, reliable, and high-performance data infrastructure.
- Architect and implement distributed data systems, storage solutions, and processing frameworks.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in distributed systems and data technologies.
- Drive technical innovation and research into emerging data technologies and best practices.
- Mentor and coach engineers while elevating engineering standards across teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, security, high availability, observability, and incident response throughout the data lifecycle.
- Influence organization-wide technical decisions and maintain operational excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of software development or related experience, including at least five years in a technical leadership role.
- Experience architecting, delivering, and driving technical strategy for large-scale data platforms using cloud systems such as AWS and deployment technologies including Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm.
- Expertise with ClickHouse, Kafka, Spark, and large-scale data partitioning and processing.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, Bash, or Go.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and organizational influence skills.
- Experience mentoring across teams and driving technical decisions beyond the squad level.
- Demonstrated experience designing high-availability, observable distributed systems and handling incident response.
- Ability to deliver results in fast-paced environments and under tight timelines.
- Knowledge of authorization and authentication systems, networking, and network security is desired.
- Deep ClickHouse expertise, including architecting, tuning, and operating it at scale, is desired.
