Base Salary
$228k - $279k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design production agent architectures, including prompts, reasoning chains, tool calls, MCP servers, agent scaffolding, context harnesses, and reusable skills infrastructure.
- Build agentic workflows that improve the product development lifecycle across scoping, design, review, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Create evaluation pipelines, benchmarks, eval harnesses, quality gates, and metrics for AI-assisted workflows.
- Develop reusable libraries, templates, and reference implementations that help engineering teams integrate and ship AI features.
- Partner with architects, domain leads, and product engineers to establish effective AI tooling, patterns, guardrails, and developer experiences.
- Make AI pilot quality, safety, generation-to-merge, and review-latency metrics visible and trustworthy across engineering teams.
Requirements
- 4+ years of full-time software engineering experience, including at least 2 years building tooling, platforms, or internal developer products.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Hands-on experience with LLM integration patterns such as prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, tool or function calling, and agent architectures.
- Proficiency working across the software stack as needed.
- Experience with MCP, LangChain, or comparable orchestration frameworks.
- Experience with open source LLM models.
- A track record of building developer tools or products that other engineers actively use.
- Preferred experience with reinforcement learning, including RLHF, RLAIF, or reward modeling in applied product contexts.
- Preferred experience in fintech or regulated or security-sensitive environments.
- Preferred hands-on experience with AI governance, including bias evaluation, audit logging, and model cards.
- Preferred exposure to multi-step reasoning pipelines or human-in-the-loop system design.
