Responsibilities
- Define the cloud security framework and architecture and document security-control implementation and transition to managed operations.
- Own SAP identity, access control, authorization design, compliance governance, GRC Access Control, segregation-of-duties governance, and audit evidence.
- Administer DEV, QA, and PRD SAP landscapes, including system copies, client copies, refreshes, upgrades, SPS updates, and kernel patches.
- Administer SAP HANA backup and recovery, space, delta merge, HSR, performance, and memory tuning.
- Configure and maintain high availability and disaster recovery using System Replication, Pacemaker, and MCOD, with tested failover runbooks.
- Manage TMS, CTS, CTS+, and gCTS transport routes, import queues, and auditable change delivery.
- Manage RISE with SAP and hyperscaler SAP environments using SAP Cloud ALM.
- Build Python or shell automation for health checks, backup validation, monitoring, log analysis, incident triage, runbook generation, and capacity prediction.
- Contribute to the SAP Change Advisory Board and support audits with change logs, backup evidence, and configuration documentation.
- Deliver a landscape health review, remediation plan, roadmap, validated DR failover test, upgrade or migration with zero unplanned downtime, and a production AI-assisted monitoring or automation capability.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of professional experience is required.
- At least 5 years of SAP BASIS experience with ECC, S/4HANA, or BW/4HANA is required.
- Deep SAP HANA DBA expertise, including HSR, backup and recovery, and performance tuning, is required.
- Linux/Unix operating-system administration for SAP environments is required.
- Experience with transport management, upgrade planning, SPS delivery, and SAP cloud environments is required.
- Experience with RISE with SAP, Azure, AWS, or GCP is required.
- Active use of AI tools such as Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar is required.
- Python, Bash, or equivalent scripting capability is required.
- SAP Certified Technology Associate certification in HANA 2.0 or BASIS, gCTS and DevSecOps pipeline integration, SAP BTP Cloud Connector administration, zero-downtime maintenance, ITIL v4 familiarity, and regulated-industry experience are desirable.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
