Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, test, and validate embedded software for vehicle functions, ADAS, automated driving, connected vehicles, and automotive electronic systems.
- Develop, decompose, manage, trace, and verify system and software requirements throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Perform software integration, troubleshooting, debugging, root cause analysis, and issue resolution to improve product performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams, suppliers, Toyota Motor Corporation, regional affiliates, validation organizations, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Support automotive communication network development, vehicle electronic architecture activities, and electronic control unit integration.
- Execute software verification and validation using simulation, bench, and vehicle testing environments.
- Contribute to engineering reviews, continuous improvement, development best practices, vehicle integration, validation, launch, and issue resolution activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience developing embedded software, vehicle systems, automotive electronics, or closely related engineering solutions.
- At least 3 years of experience developing software or systems for ADAS, automated driving, connected vehicles, vehicle electronics, or related automotive applications.
- Experience developing, testing, and debugging embedded software using C, C++, Python, MATLAB, Simulink, or equivalent technologies.
- Experience managing and verifying system and software requirements with tools such as DOORS, Polarion, or Jama.
- Experience with automotive communication networks and tools such as CAN, CAN FD, Ethernet, CANoe, CANalyzer, and Vehicle Spy.
- Hands-on experience with model-based development, software integration, debugging, root cause analysis, verification, and validation for embedded vehicle systems.
- Knowledge of automotive development processes and standards such as ASPICE, MISRA, and ISO 26262.
- Strong communication skills and experience collaborating across global and cross-functional engineering, validation, supplier, manufacturing, and international teams.
- Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree, AUTOSAR Classic Platform or Adaptive AUTOSAR experience, SIL/HIL testing, automated testing, vehicle-level integration and launch experience, CI/CD environments, automated build systems, cloud-connected vehicle services, over-the-air updates, mobility solutions, or automotive cybersecurity development.
