Base Salary
$174k - $253k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write and test product or system development code.
- Author designs for software systems.
- Review other developers’ code and provide feedback on style, correctness, testability, efficiency, and best practices.
- Maintain and adapt documentation or educational content based on product updates and user feedback.
- Triage, debug, track, and resolve product or system issues by analyzing impacts on hardware, networks, services, and quality.
- Manage production systems, including deployment and monitoring.
- May organize the work of other engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Four years of experience in the job offered or a Software Engineer-related occupation.
- Four years of software development experience using C++, Python, or Java.
- Four years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
- Four years of experience in relational databases, managing data, validation, API design, system design, AI/ML, Android development, iOS development, or front-end development.
- Two years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience delivering a company priority in a technical leadership role by directing a small group of engineers or serving as an individual contributor.
Benefits
- US base salary range of $174,000–$253,000, plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits determined by role, level, and location.
- Position reports to a Google office and may allow a hybrid schedule according to Google policy.
