Base Salary

$195k - $293k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical efforts to establish autonomy on new platforms and determine how to leverage existing capabilities.
  • Develop and integrate autonomy software, including platform interfaces, payload integration, mission autonomy, platform-specific control, multi-agent coordination, and contingencies.
  • Lead feature crews and major integration efforts, mentor engineers, remove technical obstacles, and drive delivery.
  • Partner with platform engineering teams on interfaces, hardware/software compatibility, and mission readiness.
  • Lead design reviews, architecture discussions, interface control document development, and engineering improvements.
  • Drive validation, release readiness, hardware/software integration, and preparation for operational deployments.
  • Provide technical leadership during live testing, demonstrations, flight tests, integration exercises, and operational events.
  • Lead root-cause analysis across autonomy stacks, embedded systems, and platform interfaces.
  • Drive post-mission analysis and engineering improvements based on operational results.
  • Implement command-and-control interfaces and interoperability standards for each platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Typically 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Expert C++ and Linux development experience.
  • Experience leading complex autonomy or systems-integration efforts.
  • Experience influencing technical direction across engineering teams.
  • Experience working successfully in ambiguous or rapidly evolving technical environments.
  • Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
  • Preferred experience standing up autonomy on new platforms and working with autonomous aircraft, maritime, or space systems.
  • Preferred experience mentoring engineers, leading technical initiatives, supporting military test events or customer deployments, and using UCI, OMS, STANAG 4586, or comparable interoperability standards.
