Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, test, deploy, and operate software across the full development lifecycle.
- Build and maintain highly scalable and reliable distributed tax services operating under extreme loads.
- Calculate taxes accurately at order time and generate compliant tax invoices for global Amazon sales.
- Store audit records safely to meet tax-law requirements worldwide.
- Collaborate closely with other engineers and contribute to code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
