Responsibilities
- Work on a P4 compiler targeting a domain-specific architecture implemented in AMD ASICs.
- Contribute to compiler development based on LLVM and P4C.
- Apply efficient software design principles and methodologies.
- Collaborate with compiler customers and the ASIC team.
- Work with and learn from experienced senior engineers.
Requirements
- Be currently enrolled in a U.S. university bachelor’s program majoring in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Be proficient in object-oriented programming languages, preferably C++.
- Have coursework or prior experience in compilers, data structures, or programming languages.
- Be able to work as an effective teammate in a geographically dispersed team.
- Familiarity with GitHub and CI/CD methodologies is a plus.
- The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Benefits
- Full-time work of 40 hours per week in a hybrid or onsite structure in San Jose or Santa Clara, California.
- Spring/Summer Co-op runs January 25, 2027 through August 13, 2027.
- Summer Internship runs May 24, 2027 through August 13, 2027 for semester schools or June 21, 2027 through September 10, 2027 for quarter schools.
- Summer/Fall Co-op runs May 24, 2027 through December 10, 2027 for semester schools or June 21, 2027 through December 10, 2027 for quarter schools.
