Base Salary

$94k - $100k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain real-time, multithreaded embedded software for cybersecurity and encryption products.
  • Design, code, test, debug, and maintain production-quality Rust software.
  • Develop automated unit, integration, and hardware-in-the-loop test coverage.
  • Troubleshoot software defects, perform code reviews, and maintain reliable software across long product lifecycles.
  • Translate CONOPS, specifications, and requirements into software designs, code, test plans, and executed testing.
  • Collaborate with systems, hardware, cybersecurity, test, and program teams to deliver robust software solutions.
  • Define the scope, schedule, and expectations for assigned work and provide technical direction when needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a related science, engineering, or mathematics field.
  • Junior-level embedded software development capability with Rust, including ownership, borrowing, lifetimes, error handling, and concurrency models.
  • Experience with real-time, multithreaded embedded software, preferably on Linux.
  • Department of Defense SECRET security clearance at the time of hire.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility for access to classified information.
  • Familiarity with Cargo, the Rust ecosystem, dependency management, formatting, linting, and CI/CD integration.
  • Preferred experience with systems-level, embedded, backend, networking, or performance-sensitive software.
  • Preferred experience with C, C++, Python, hypervisor technology, UML, Linux, and device drivers.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex defects, collaborate across disciplines, and work with integrated development, version control, defect tracking, and scripting tools.
