Responsibilities
- Own the completion and quality of assigned tasks and projects with guidance from mentors, managers, and peers.
- Execute scoped technical tasks end-to-end to help build Pinterest.
- Deliver well-documented, tested, and operable code.
- Bridge design and engineering teams.
- Prototype and validate ideas, contribute to the design system, and translate research into polished, performant interfaces.
- Communicate ideas and opinions while participating in learning and development opportunities.
Requirements
- Currently be enrolled in an education program while working toward a master’s degree in statistics, psychology, sociology, applied sciences, computer science, or a related field.
- Obtain a master’s degree in computer science, statistics, psychology, sociology, applied sciences, or a related field by 2027.
- Have previous software engineering internship experience.
- Demonstrate passion for solving user-experience problems and improving the Pinner experience.
- Be proficient in a dynamic programming language such as JavaScript, CSS, C++, HTML, Python, Java, or Go.
- Demonstrate ability to continually learn from experience.
