Base Salary
$160k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services for provisioning, lifecycle management, and configuration of Snowflake Postgres instances.
- Develop access and user-model features, including authorization, secure administration flows, and customer-facing management capabilities.
- Improve the reliability, observability, and operability of asynchronous workflows and background systems.
- Investigate production issues, participate in on-call, and implement fixes that improve resilience and reduce operational burden.
- Collaborate with product, security, and adjacent engineering teams on customer experiences and complex infrastructure.
- Contribute to technical design, code review, mentoring, and engineering quality improvements.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience building production software in backend, infrastructure, or distributed-systems environments.
- Strong programming skills in one or more of Java, Go, C++, or Python.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including concurrency, networking, APIs, and data structures.
- Experience designing and operating reliable production services, including debugging, monitoring, and incident response.
- Experience collaborating across technical boundaries with product, security, and other engineering teams.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience includes PostgreSQL, database internals, managed database platforms, identity, authorization, RBAC, security-sensitive systems, cloud infrastructure, workflow orchestration, control-plane systems, or asynchronous service architectures.
