Responsibilities
- Build, run, and improve core backend systems for the Scheduling product.
- Own systems end to end, emphasizing quality, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
- Lead design, estimation, implementation, testing, debugging, and deployment across the development lifecycle.
- Deliver scalable software that improves restaurant labor planning and daily operations.
- Partner with product and design to influence product and technical decisions.
- Contribute to code reviews and technical discussions while elevating team standards.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to other team members.
- Own and operate production systems.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of backend experience with one or more object-oriented programming languages such as Java or Kotlin.
- Experience owning and operating production systems.
- Demonstrated ability to solve ambiguous, high-impact challenges and deliver scalable solutions.
- Ability and motivation to learn quickly and apply knowledge to real-world problems.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and willingness to build systems at massive scale.

- CAD $125,000–$175,000 base salary range, with starting salary based on skills, experience, and geographic location.
