Responsibilities
- Design, build, optimize, and support scalable consumer-facing mobile applications for iOS and Android.
- Develop mobile applications and native platform integrations using React Native, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Define application architecture, state management, API integration patterns, reusable components, shared libraries, and mobile frameworks.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Design, QA, and Engineering teams to deliver accessible, reliable, and high-quality consumer experiences.
- Implement unit, integration, end-to-end testing, code quality, and automation practices.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance, stability, crashes, and overall consumer experience.
- Contribute to App Store and Google Play releases, release management, deployment automation, and operational support.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, document technical decisions, and promote engineering best practices.
- Support experimentation, feature flagging, data-driven product optimization, and AI-assisted engineering practices.
- Participate in planning, estimation, refinement, retrospectives, and continuous improvement activities.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, including significant hands-on experience building mobile applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with React Native, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript development.
- Solid understanding of iOS and Android platforms, application lifecycles, platform capabilities, and native module integration.
- Strong knowledge of mobile architecture patterns, modular design, scalable application development, state management, and application data flow.
- Experience integrating mobile applications with REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Knowledge of secure application development, authentication, data protection, consumer privacy, accessibility, mobile UX, and cross-device compatibility.
- Strong experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, including test automation.
- Experience troubleshooting production issues, analyzing crashes, monitoring application health, optimizing performance, and supporting releases.
- Experience conducting code reviews, mentoring engineers, and promoting engineering best practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience in Consumer, Retail, eCommerce, or DTC products is preferred.
- Experience with experimentation platforms, feature flagging, and A/B testing is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
