Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize software for an exchange involving computing-resource pricing models and risk distribution.
- Develop customer-facing features that help customers select products and use EC2 cost-effectively.
- Define web-service APIs and use AWS technologies to rapidly develop customer features.
- Improve APIs, tooling, and service architecture to reduce friction for developers building on EC2.
- Automatically deploy and monitor services to identify performance issues.
- Recruit, interview, and hire software developers.
- Mentor junior software developers.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 2 years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Programming experience in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 4+ years covering the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: master’s degree in computer science or equivalent.

- The base salary range is $143,700.00–$194,400.00 annually for Seattle, Washington.
