Responsibilities
- Build backend agent-assist services and integrations for chat and email.
- Architect systems managing real-time conversation state, context propagation, and session lifecycles.
- Collaborate with frontend platform, ML, infrastructure, authentication, security, product, engineering, and customer teams.
- Own customer-facing deliverables and resolve integration, user-experience, and performance issues.
- Provide technical ownership for a substantial portion of the authentication stack.
- Implement authentication, authorization, compliance, and enterprise security best practices.
- Improve reliability, performance, scalability, availability, latency, and observability in high-volume production systems.
- Contribute to engineering standards and continuously improve the Cresta platform.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience building scalable backend systems in production environments.
- Strong experience designing and maintaining robust REST and gRPC APIs.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and real-time communication architectures.
- Experience integrating with third-party enterprise platforms and APIs.
- Experience with containerized environments such as Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong understanding of system reliability, observability, and security in enterprise environments.
- Experience with CCaaS or contact center systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI agents, virtual agents, or LLM-based systems is preferred.
- Experience building authentication systems is preferred.
