Base Salary
$74k - $148k/yr
Responsibilities
- Assist with implementing scalable distributed-system components under senior guidance.
- Execute load, performance, functional, and fault-injection testing for assigned components.
- Support fault tolerance through redundancy, replication, failover, and recovery-oriented practices.
- Configure testing, alarming, dashboards, telemetry, and alerting mechanisms.
- Draft and execute runbooks, troubleshoot operational issues, and participate in incident response and root cause investigations.
- Maintain basic automation and Infrastructure as Code scripts and follow change-management procedures.
- Assist with security-gap remediation and cloud infrastructure compliance documentation.
- Complete assigned work, collaborate with team members, identify issues, and escalate complex problems.
Requirements
- Foundational understanding of distributed systems, horizontal and vertical scaling, fault tolerance, redundancy, replication, failover, and recovery-oriented computing.
- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting, testing, operational support, and automation tasks under supervision.
- Ability to follow security, compliance, change-management, maintenance, and incident-response procedures.
- Ability to learn new infrastructure tools and incorporate feedback through training.
