Responsibilities

Design and train high-performance computer vision models for automated damage detection.
Architect and maintain high-throughput containerized model-serving services using REST and gRPC.
Translate stakeholder requirements into scalable, production-grade machine learning solutions.
Own the model lifecycle from experimentation and design through deployment and optimization.
Design and maintain Kafka-based streaming data pipelines for model serving and inference.
Optimize models and serving systems for low-latency performance in high-traffic production environments.

Graduate education (MS or PhD) in a computationally intensive domain or equivalent work experience.
At least 3 years of computer vision experience.
Advanced proficiency with PyTorch, OpenCV, TensorFlow, Python, and SQL.
Experience designing visual data annotation pipelines and evaluation frameworks for complex real-world image datasets.
Experience optimizing high-latency models for real-time inference.
Backend software engineering experience in AWS or GCP, including Docker-based microservices and the machine learning model development lifecycle.
Experience building and maintaining Kafka-based streaming data pipelines for real-time model serving.
Preferred: knowledge of Kubeflow, Databricks, and KServe.
