Base Salary

$220k - $292k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own customer success through the design and delivery of a multi-year software roadmap.
  • Leverage internal teams to rapidly deliver capabilities beyond current platforms.
  • Collaborate with external teams on interfacing requirements.
  • Lead teams in architecting and implementing safety-critical Vehicle Management Systems.
  • Contribute to the design of a company-wide roadmap for software inputs.
  • Architect and implement scalable vehicle subsystems.
  • Drive the development of real-time embedded software using an RTOS.
  • Develop device drivers and interfaces for sensors and actuators.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for software engineering.
  • Drive the design and implementation of development processes.
  • Create test and simulation fixtures for software and hardware integration.
  • Support vehicle manufacturing and deployment.
  • Mentor Senior Software Engineers and lead multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Travel to co-locate with end-users and teams up to 20% of the time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a leadership position within a high-performing technology organization.
  • Proficient in writing C programming language.
  • Experience with an RTOS.
  • Familiarity with communications busses and protocols.
  • Strong systems programming skills including algorithms and data structures.
  • Ability to act as the technical owner for an entire software system.
  • Capacity to learn and mentor junior team members.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
