Responsibilities
- Architect software infrastructure for deployment into a Linux-based Common Computing Environment PaaS.
- Improve software and infrastructure build processes.
- Integrate containerized software applications in Kubernetes or another container runtime.
- Set up and configure hardware and software test environments.
- Develop and manage automated testing for custom containerized applications and open-source components.
- Troubleshoot software, infrastructure, and systems-level problems, including issues involving products developed by other teams or contracts.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders and manage external communications.
- Provide team leadership within an integrated product team structure.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related STEM field with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
- Experience architecting infrastructure within the SWFTS environment.
- Experience integrating containerized applications in Kubernetes or another container runtime.
- Advanced troubleshooting experience across software, infrastructure, and systems-level problems.
- Experience with automated testing for containerized applications and open-source tools and components.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles in prototype and production software development.
- Preferred experience with Ansible IaC, Java Spring Boot, Python, Kubernetes, Docker container files, Bash scripting, leadership in integrated product teams, and cluster networking and design.
- In-depth experience in at least two of building and consuming RESTful APIs, Linux, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at hire, and applicants must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
