Base Salary
$137k - $234k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, review, and deploy high-quality production-ready software using Java.
- Provide technical leadership and influence application and solution architecture for scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.
- Design and build cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure, including work with compute, networking, storage, security, and cloud databases.
- Support and improve DevOps pipelines, CI/CD practices, infrastructure automation, monitoring, alerting, and production readiness.
- Champion TDD, automated testing, and test automation frameworks across unit, integration, and system testing.
- Mentor and groom engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and technical deep dives.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, QA, platform, and operations teams across globally distributed regions.
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools and identify pragmatic solutions to engineering risks.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong hands-on track record.
- Deep expertise in Java and modern application frameworks.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native application development.
- Practical knowledge of TDD, spec-driven or contract-first development, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
- Working knowledge of cloud databases, data modeling, and performance tuning.
- Ability to lead by influence, communicate clearly, solve problems, design solutions, and make decisions in evolving environments.
- Microsoft Azure Architect Certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools, large-scale modernization, cloud migration, distributed systems, or regulated enterprise environments is preferred.
