Responsibilities
- Design and maintain high-performance Vue 3 server-side rendered applications.
- Optimize SSR pipelines, hydration cost, rendering strategies, bundle splitting, dynamic imports, and tree-shaking.
- Improve Core Web Vitals and frontend performance across large-scale web applications.
- Profile JavaScript execution, memory usage, flame graphs, CPU profiles, and browser rendering behavior.
- Improve Node.js SSR throughput, concurrency, caching, and edge or CDN performance.
- Ensure SSR output is crawlable, indexable, and properly structured for search engines.
- Use AI-assisted coding and agentic developer tools for implementation, refactoring, debugging, testing, documentation, and profiling.
- Participate in architecture and technical decisions, code reviews, automated testing, and engineering quality initiatives.
- Mentor mid-level and junior engineers on frontend performance and best practices.
- Collaborate with product, design, backend, and SEO teams across distributed and remote environments.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience building modern, high-traffic web applications.
- Strong JavaScript expertise and experience with Vue.js or React.
- Experience with Node.js, particularly in server-side rendering environments.
- Proven experience optimizing performance for large-scale consumer applications serving millions of users.
- Hands-on experience improving Core Web Vitals and using Chrome DevTools, Lighthouse, memory profiling, and flame graph analysis.
- Deep understanding of rendering strategies, hydration, code splitting, tree-shaking, browser rendering lifecycles, Virtual DOM performance, and reactivity systems.
- Experience implementing CDN, caching, and asset optimization strategies.
- Strong understanding of SEO implications associated with SSR and rendering decisions.
- Experience building maintainable systems supported by automated tests.
- Professional experience with AI-native or AI-assisted engineering workflows and tools.
- Experience working effectively on remote or distributed teams with asynchronous collaboration across time zones.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in real estate, marketplaces, or other high-scale consumer platforms is preferred.
- Experience tuning Node.js performance in production and familiarity with edge computing or CDN configuration are preferred.
