Responsibilities
- Partner with software engineers and a mentor on a summer project contributing to DeltaV applications, services, and tools.
- Design, write, test, debug, and improve software features from initial concept through working implementation.
- Explore emerging technologies, potentially including AI/ML techniques, for product and engineering problems.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, sprint planning, retrospectives, Hackathons, Tech Talks, and Communities of Practice.
- Document completed work and present project results to the team at the end of the summer.
Requirements
- Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and returning to school after the internship.
- Pursue a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Have coursework or project experience in at least one programming language, such as C#, Java, Python, C/C++, or JavaScript.
- Have legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Preferred qualifications include junior or senior standing, C# or object-oriented programming experience, familiarity with Visual Studio or VS Code, and Git or another source control system.
- Preferred experience includes .NET, web or desktop UI frameworks, REST APIs, relational databases and SQL, Python data or machine learning libraries, AI/ML or large language model projects, Azure or AWS, Docker or Kubernetes, GitHub Copilot, and software development projects or internships.
