Base Salary
$250k - $315k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the design and production operation of scalable systems that ingest, transform, and serve financial datasets.
- Build high-throughput, low-latency streaming and batch data processing pipelines.
- Integrate market data vendors, proprietary sources, and third-party financial datasets into reliable queryable platforms.
- Structure, clean, and serve financial data to support AI models and retrieval systems.
- Build secure and compliant enterprise data integrations from ingestion through serving.
- Lead by example and contribute to a culture of technical excellence, learning, and ownership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building complex, data-intensive backend systems.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with GCP or an equivalent cloud stack.
- Deep Python expertise and proficiency in Rust, C++, or Java; Java is a strong plus.
- Expertise in distributed systems, including asynchronous processing, streaming, queuing, caching, logging, metrics, and tracing.
- Strong command of relational databases and SQL, plus NoSQL, Redis, BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.
- Experience building and operating reliable, high-throughput streaming and batch data pipelines.
- 3+ years of experience managing or working closely with globally distributed engineering teams.
- Strong communication, autonomy, collaboration, and cross-functional influence skills.
- Passion for corporate finance, capital markets, and financial data, with a high standard for data quality.
