Base Salary
$180k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design structured experiments with real controls and statistical rigor.
- Build regression test coverage to monitor global prompt changes.
- Create a pipeline of validated improvements for engineering teams.
- Own prompt design across Mia's multi-turn, voice-first workflows.
- Stay updated on prompting research and agent architecture developments.
- Prototype new approaches locally before production deployment.
- Translate experiment results into clear, actionable recommendations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in prompting, AI research, or applied AI roles.
- Advanced degree in a research-oriented field (PhD preferred) such as CS, linguistics, or cognitive science.
- Real prompt engineering experience with a focus on system behavior changes.
- Solid understanding of experimental design fundamentals and statistical significance.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs in applied contexts.
- Comfort with RAG, agentic architectures, and modern LLM tooling.
- Ability to evaluate and validate AI system behavior with clear communication skills.
Benefits
