Base Salary
$194k - $291k/yr
Responsibilities
- Research, develop, and implement state-of-the-art synthetic sensor simulation methods.
- Analyze and characterize the realism and utility of synthetic sensor data.
- Investigate relationships between sensor data and autonomy performance.
- Collaborate with autonomy, infrastructure, and systems teams on mapping needs and requirements.
- Develop synthetic data for sensors including cameras, lidar, radar, and other vehicle sensors.
Requirements
- PhD in machine learning, computer science, electrical engineering, robotics, or a related field plus 3+ years of industry experience; or a master's degree plus 4+ years; or 5+ years of industry experience.
- Deep understanding of machine learning fundamentals and hands-on experience training and evaluating modern ML models.
- Strong Python skills and experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Jax.
- Experience with 3D geometry and state estimation, systems coding, sensor simulation and noise modeling, ML graphics techniques, ML pipelines, or ML model optimization is a plus.
- Research publications in conferences such as NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, CVPR, RSS, CoRL, or ICRA are a plus.
