  • Package and validate services and dependencies using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and approved registries while maintaining versioned image inventories and release manifests.
  • Create reusable infrastructure-as-code modules, cluster bootstrap automation, and CI/CD or GitOps workflows using Terraform, Pulumi, Argo CD, or comparable tools.
  • Prepare and validate networking, IAM, secrets, certificates, storage, registries, model-provider connectivity, and restricted or disconnected deployment patterns.
  • Troubleshoot partner deployment and production issues across application services, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and networks through validated resolution and operational handoff.
  • Deliver tested releases, patches, and upgrades with automated validation gates, compatibility checks, smoke tests, rollback procedures, and release documentation.
  • Operate metrics, logs, traces, audit logging, dashboards, alerts, and SLOs while supporting incident response, recovery, capacity planning, and reliability improvements.
  • Partner with GRC and security teams on container hardening, vulnerability scanning, CVE remediation, SBOMs, STIG, RMF/ATO, and impact-level requirements.
  • Lead infrastructure and reliability decisions, establish secure-release and production-readiness standards, mentor engineers, and convert recurring partner needs into reusable automation.
  • Maintain deployment guides, inventories, runbooks, and troubleshooting documentation while providing partner onboarding and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • 10+ years of software, platform, infrastructure, SRE, or DevOps engineering experience with hands-on ownership of production systems.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, production cluster operations, Helm, and infrastructure as code such as Terraform or Pulumi.
  • Hands-on experience with at least two of AWS, Azure, and GCP across compute, networking, storage, identity, and managed services.
  • Experience operating software in customer-controlled, private-cloud, hybrid-cloud, or on-premises environments.
  • Strong understanding of networking, DNS, ingress, load balancing, certificates, IAM, secrets management, persistent storage, and service-to-service security.
  • Experience with CI/CD or GitOps systems, production observability, incident response, releases, upgrades, and rollbacks.
  • Strong automation and software engineering skills in Python, Go, TypeScript, or a similar language.
  • Experience hardening infrastructure and container images, investigating vulnerabilities, and delivering validated security fixes.
  • Strong partner-facing communication and troubleshooting skills with ownership from initial issue report through resolution and handoff.
  • Experience using AI-assisted coding and engineering tools for development, automation, troubleshooting, operational analysis, or incident investigation.
  • Preferred qualifications include national security, defense, federal, SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure experience; an active U.S. government clearance; restricted or disconnected environment experience; STIG, NIST, FedRAMP, RMF/ATO, or DoD IL4/IL5/IL6 experience; AWS GovCloud or Second Front/Game Warden experience; supply-chain security, SBOM, artifact signing, FIPS, Harbor, or policy-as-code experience; and customer-facing or forward-deployed experience.
