Responsibilities
- Develop complex backend features for Reltio’s enterprise master data management platform.
- Present technical solutions to architects and lead feature delivery from design through implementation.
- Make day-to-day technical decisions and distribute tasks across one or two engineers.
- Collaborate with technical leads, architects, QA, product managers, and other cross-functional representatives.
- Review testing approaches and plans, and provide details needed for unit and integration testing.
- Maintain internal feature documentation and provide technical implementation support.
- Provide technical mentorship and leadership to junior team members.
- Support and sustain areas under the engineer’s responsibility.
- Perform performance optimization, code profiling, and Java application runtime analysis.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in enterprise application design and development.
- At least 2 years of experience developing backend applications.
- At least 1 year of experience building scalable distributed data systems using Java and cloud technology.
- Strong Java knowledge, including Java 8 or later and Java Runtime fundamentals.
- Experience delivering solutions, providing implementation support, and engaging with customers.
- Experience developing software for enterprise customers.
- Strong foundation in computer science, algorithms, data structures, software design, and large distributed systems.
- Hands-on ability to review and write code, with experience providing technical mentorship and leadership.
- Preferred experience with SaaS customer support, big data technologies, NoSQL databases, and cloud-managed services such as AWS, GBT, and Azure.
- A master’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
